The Type 42 destroyer HMS Glasgow encounters heavy weather on patrol. Built in the mid-1970s, and decommissioned in 2005, she saw active service during the Falklands conflict, when she was hit by a 1,000lb bomb from an Argentine aircraft. Fortunately, the bomb did not explode, passing through the engine room before exiting through the vessel's side. Repairs were carried out at sea.
